Mrs. Margery Eleanor Stickles Storey, 94, of Statesville, died peacefully Thursday, November 23, 2017 at her home.  A loving, caring, capable woman, “Mardy”, as she was known, was born in Mount Vernon, New York  on February 4, 1923, she was a beloved daughter of the late Ernest Stickles and Margery Kemble Stickles. She was a member of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church. She attended Mary Washington College. While there she met a young Naval Academy cadet, Donald Storey. The young couple married, Donald went to WW II in the Pacific Theater. Good fortune smiled on Mardy and Don and after the war they raised 3 children in Fairfield, Ct.
